 Jio BlackRock Broking Pvt Ltd has just received the green light from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) to kick off its operations as a brokerage firm in India. Following this exciting news, shares of Jio Financial Services Ltd (JFSL) jumped by 4%, reaching Rs 327.75 on the BSE. This broking arm is a fully owned subsidiary of Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers, which is a 50:50 joint venture between Jio Financial Services and the global investment powerhouse, BlackRock Inc.

  The company has stated that its broking platform is designed to provide affordable, transparent, and tech-savvy execution services tailored for Indian investors. With this new development, Jio BlackRock is now in a position to offer a comprehensive suite of investment solutions, including mutual funds, advisory services, and brokerage. “We are thrilled to have received SEBI’s final approval for Jio BlackRock Broking, bringing us one step closer to helping India transition from a nation of savers to a nation of investors,” expressed Marc Pilgrem, MD & CEO of Jio BlackRock Investment Advisers. He went on to explain that while the advisory side will provide personalized guidance, the new brokerage arm is all about empowering self-directed investors with a robust digital execution platform.
