Iran has strongly criticized Trump's comments regarding Supreme Leader Khamenei, labeling them as "disrespectful and unacceptable.
Iran's foreign minister had a word of caution for Trump, suggesting that if he wants to find common ground with Supreme Leader Khamenei, he really ought to “set aside” his tone. Just a day after Khamenei delivered a victory speech, Iran condemned President Trump's comments about him.
Trump's remarks followed Khamenei's assertion that the US President had “exaggerated events in unusual ways.” In a post on social media platform X, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi emphasized, “If President Trump genuinely wants to strike a deal, he should drop his disrespectful and unacceptable tone towards the Iranian supreme leader, Grand Ayatollah Khamenei, and stop alienating his millions of devoted supporters.”
Araghchi also pointed out that the Israeli regime had “NO CHOICE but to RUN to 'Daddy' to avoid bein
g flattened by our missiles.” He stressed that Iranians cherish their independence and do not take kindly to “threats and insults.”
Trump's comments came after Khamenei, in his first speech following the announcement of a ceasefire understanding, remarked that the US President had “exaggerated events in unusual ways” and that he needed that “exaggeration.” The Supreme Leader also claimed that “the Islamic Republic won,” stating that this dealt “a severe slap to the face of America.
